During one of my business trips to guatemala, a friend drove me to the city of Antigua.  Wow, it was a painter’s dream.  Everywhere I turned I saw door, after door, after door, in varying shapes, sizes and construction all concealing behind them, beautiful courtyards, fountains and villas that were invisible from the street.  The wooden doors provided the perfect place to nail or staple paper or cardboard posters and notices of upcoming events and ads that became bleached by the sun and then contrasted with the stucco and vivid Bougainvillea.
