Living in Florida has it's definite advantages.  For myself, I really enjoy the overwhelming amount of greens. (Green is my favorite color) It seems like every where you turn there are always layer upon layers of vibrant shades.  During one of our walks downtown, my wife Jo and I came across a place where the palmetto leaves were battling for the most sunshine. We stood "ring side" for a while enjoying the view of the intertwining leaves and the density of the shadows as the sun tried to penetrate back into the brush.  I took a few press photos and could not wait to try to capture the emotion of the moment in paper and paint.
