I was not sure how I felt about the painting when I first completed it, but Jo loved it! I decided to hang it in my office at work and I must say it has really grown on me. It was inspired by a walk in downtown Dayton, Ohio, on gorgeous sunny morning. I was drawn to the side, of what use to be, the Easterling Photography Studio building, on Jefferson and First street. The wall was covered in old ivy but one window had been vandalized due to the building sitting vacant for a while. The peeling paint, strong lighting contrasts and overall curiosity of the scene catching the reflections of the buildings across the street left me no option than to capture it.
